| From a design/engineering standpoint the rotary is intriguing. It only has 3 moving parts I think. The problem is with the implementation. Unlike on a piston engine where people break all kinds of random parts, when a rotary breaks it is the apex seals almost 100% of the time. If they fix the design of that, the engine can last a long, long time and take a lot of power. Fuel economy isn't the best though, but if it was developed and refined as much as the piston engine has been I'm sure they'd improve on that.
